Admission Details:

Integrated Institute of Environment and Development (IIED) is a world class Centre of Excellence for multidisciplinary graduate education, applied research and capacity building in natural resources management, environmental protection and sustainable development in Nigeria and internationally.

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following Professional Graduate programmes of the Integrated Institute of Environment and Development, Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, Delta State, Nigeria.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA(PGD) PROGRAMMES

Applicants shall possess at least, a pass degree in Natural or Applied Sciences, Engineering, Science Education. Holders of HND in Natural or Applied Sciences,  Engineering or related disciplines from recognized higher institutions, with a minimum of lower Credit are also eligible to apply. WAEC/NECO/NABTEB subjects include English, Mathematics and three relevant subjects. Those with relevant industrial experience shall also be considered

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR MASTERS OF SCIENCE (M.Sc.) PROGRAMMES

Applicants shall possess a B.Sc. Honours degree with a minimum of Third Class Honours in Environmental Management and Toxicology or any Environmental Science/Management courses, Natural or Applied Sciences,  Engineering, Science Education or related disciplines from a recognized University. Holders of at least a merit pass in University PGD or 50% on weighed percentage average is also eligible to apply. WAEC/NECO/NABTEB subjects include English, Mathematics and three relevant subjects Those with relevant industrial experience shall also be considered.

For the Professional Masters in Environmental Policy and Regulations, applicants shall possess a B.Sc. Honours degree with a minimum of Third Class in Law, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Natural or Applied Science based subjects, Engineering, Social Sciences and Arts. WAEC/NECO/NABTEB subjects include English, Mathematics and three relevant subjects. Candidates with a PGD in Law, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Natural or Applied Science based subject, Engineering, Social Science and Arts, with a minimum of Merit/Pass can also apply.

METHOD OF INSTRUCTION                                          

Lectures shall be in modular form, flexible and shall be delivered physically and through virtual platforms/ Distance Online learning.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Graduates of the programmes would acquire skills that could be applied as Environmental Managers, Supervisors, Policy makers, Process Engineers, Health and Safety professionals and researchers in the Petroleum, Process and Manufacturing industries and Government.

DURATION OF PROGRAMME

PGD programme: 12  months for full-time and 18 months for part-time.
MSc. Programme: 12 months for full time and 24 months for part time
PhD. Programme: 36 months for full time and 48 months for part time.

ADMISSION FORMS

A non-refundable application fee of twenty-five thousand naira (N25,000) for Nigerians and $100 for foreigners, shall be paid for admission forms. Application is open for six (6) weeks from the date of publication.

      5. Fill the Application Form online

      6. Upload on the website (https://admissions.uphsph.edu.ng) the required documents (Your academic Credentials starting from the least, Your Birth Certificate, Local Government Identification Letter, NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate

      7. All hard copy transcripts should be sent to the school using the transcript label which will be available after application. Soft copies of      transcripts can be sent to iied@fupre.edu.ng.

      8. Referees’ remarks/comments should be filled online by the referees through a link which will be sent via mail

      9. The Application Form and the accompanying documents should be uploaded/submitted on or before Friday, October 31st, 2026

Applicants would be invited for oral and/or aptitude tests before admission is finalised
